The Kaiserwinkl Camper Van Days are the Vans & Friends community’s way of closing the camping season together rather than just letting it end. Three days of nature, movement and real encounters in one of Tirol’s prettiest camping regions.

What to expect

  • Workshops and talks right on the shore of Lake Walchsee
  • Shared evenings with the vanlife community
  • Hikes and activities in the Kaiserwinkl between the Wilder Kaiser and the Chiemgau Alps

This gathering replaces the Camper Van Summit Meeting that used to close the season at Lofer.

Viennese mechanical engineer Andreas Janisch develops and sells safety and comfort solutions for motorhomes and camper vans under the WOMOFIX brand. More than 10,000 customers already use WOMOFIX products, and a network of over 70 installation partners across Europe provides fitting and advice. In 2026, JANSTAHL GmbH was founded in Vienna as the new corporate base for further development, with existing activities gradually being transferred from the sole proprietorship.

Incidents AT Austria

Caravan trailer crash in Lower Austria leaves two injured

On Saturday, a collision involving a car towing a caravan occurred on the B18 in Lower Austria between Hirtenberg and St. Veit an der Triesting. The car, registered in Poland, carried four people — parents and two children — who were unharmed despite severe front-end damage. Two people in the caravan were injured and taken by Red Cross ambulances to nearby hospitals. The road was fully closed in both directions for about an hour and a half; the Leobersdorf fire brigade used a hookloader crane to assist with recovery, and police deployed a drone for accident mapping.
