They claim some individuals open their land for parking without licenses or taxes, creating unfair competition. Caravans are also parked on beaches, roadsides, and public areas, causing environmental pollution and damage to natural coves.

A concentration of caravans in the Çalış Şat Burnu area of Fethiye has drawn complaints from local residents. They claim the area has become a caravan parking lot, with many caravans staying long-term along the coast and among mimosa trees. Residents report litter accumulation and environmental pollution, negatively affecting the natural landscape. Calls have been made for increased oversight of the area's use and cleanliness.

Turkish actress Ece Dizdar, who married colleague Serdar Orçin in June 2025, went on a caravan camping holiday. Dizdar noted that colleague Hülya Gülşen from the adjacent caravan assisted her. The actress stated that working with tools was not difficult for her.
