This follows a 39% rise in 2025, when over 3,700 vehicles were sold. The growth is partly attributed to the abolition of the higher vehicle tax for motorhomes in February 2025. Västra Götaland remains the largest county for registrations (about 20%), while Jönköping saw the strongest growth (+104%).

In 2026, a motorhome built on a Volvo FMX 6×6 chassis was introduced on the Russian market, designed for long-term off-grid travel. It features two 400-liter water tanks, six lithium batteries, a solar panel, and a diesel generator. The living module includes a kitchen, bathroom with shower, bedroom, and a hammam. The motorhome accommodates two people with space for two additional guests.

Kabe, renowned for its winter-proof caravans, has launched the Classic 740 LGB, a partially integrated motorhome built on the Fiat Ducato. Motorhome parking spaces ready on former bandy field in Sjötorp

In Sjötorp (Mariestad Municipality), the conversion of a former bandy field into motorhome parking and car parking has been completed. Previously, only about 50 spaces were available near the canal, leading to chaos. Padel courts in Västervik to be replaced by motorhome parking

Pampas marina has been granted permission to demolish padel courts on Barlastgatan in Västervik and build 16 motorhome parking spaces (ställplatser). The project includes reconfiguring an existing parking lot and constructing a new service building with toilets, showers, laundry, and a waste dumping station. Environmental and building officials recommended rejecting the application as it conflicts with the detailed development plan, but a majority of the committee voted to approve it in full.

Swedish outdoor brand Primus has introduced the Moto Stove, a two-burner camping stove designed for van-lifers, rooftop tent users, and campervan owners. The stove features two 4,400W burners with independent flame controls, wraparound windscreens, and a Piezo igniter. Its slim, foldable design allows compact storage in a car boot or campervan.
