All NewsFor the 2027 season, manufacturers are presenting alternative layouts that break with the standard campervan design. The Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, from August 28 to September 6, 2026, will showcase these innovations, including the Dreamer D64 Select with the first queen-size bed in a campervan, the Rocket Bike with an XXL garage for four bicycles, the Flowcamper Max Grande with a roof sofa, the Westfalia Columbus Liner with a two-story layout, and the Matist L with a two-meter bed on a Ford Transit base.
A new motorhome site has opened in Fröndenberg at Himmelmannspark, offering up to 16 pitches. Overnight stays cost €17 including water and electricity; no showers or toilets are available. The site operates 24/7 with digital entry and payment, requiring no on-site staff. It is part of the Camping-Car Park network and is located directly on the Ruhr river.
Journalists tested the 7.5-meter Carado T457 Edition 27 motorhome. It is 2.32 meters wide and 2.93 meters high. The model features a shower, a double bed, and a large trunk. Due to its size, the vehicle is difficult to park in residential areas.
