Dominic Arpin and chef Ricardo spent a vanlife weekend together as part of the Van Aventure series. According to Arpin, he had hoped to learn cooking tips, but ended up spending more time laughing and drinking gin and tonics. Ricardo drove his new campervan, which he had unveiled last month. Arpin is wrapping up filming for the new season of Van Aventure at the Festival Western de Saint-Tite.

The New Brunswick RCMP reported a stolen motorhome from Penobsquis, N.B. The theft is believed to have occurred between 11 p.m. on July 25, 2024, and 1 p.m. on July 26, 2024, from a business on Route 114. The motorhome has since been located. The vehicle is described as a white 2010 Jayco Greyhawk with New Brunswick licence plate JRR 535 and VIN 1FDXE4FS4ADA58344.

The RV Sanitary Station at approximately 17,210 94 Street, just north of downtown Peace River, has closed for the season due to colder temperatures and increased risk of frost that can damage water and sanitation infrastructure. RV users will not have access to the station until it reopens next season, and they are advised to plan alternative arrangements for wastewater and sanitation needs during colder months. The closure is part of seasonal operations to protect the facility from freeze-related damage. Reopening information will be provided when available.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, Vernon Search and Rescue (VSAR) quickly located and rescued an injured camper on the Aberdeen Plateau. The call came from local RCMP around 7:30 a.m. after the camper dialed 911. A crew of six in three vehicles, along with ATVs, reached the site by 9:45 a.m., assessed the camper, moved him to a vehicle, and transported him to a waiting ambulance.
