The $210,000 facility, included in this year's budget, is expected to recover only 20–50% of costs, prompting some council members to question the low fee.

From July 7, 2025, the EU General Safety Regulation II (GSR II) comes into force. Espaces.ca has compiled a list of ten camping destinations in Quebec's national parks. The selection includes Lac-Caché campground in Mont-Tremblant park with 24 sites, Grands-Jardins park with four camping and glamping areas, and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie park with sites accessible only by bike or canoe. The Kramer family, operators of Bradsdadsland Family Campground on Hornby Island, purchased the 62-site Beachcomber RV Park in Central Saanich, British Columbia. The deal closed on March 24, 2026. The park was originally purchased by businessman John Chew in 1966 and opened to the public in 1986 after Expo '86. New owners plan only modest additions (an amenities building and playground), aiming to preserve the historic landscape and character of the waterfront campground.
