Check before you travel

  • Entry: no visa needed; permitted stay — 60 days.

Worth knowing about the route

  • You cannot bring your own motorhome into Thailand under the standard procedure: the DLT rules for temporary import of foreign vehicles (FVP permit) list camper cars, motorhomes, buses and trucks as not eligible. A car needs an application through a local agency in advance, insurance, an agreed route and an escort. A motorhome trip here means renting locally.

Length-of-stay rules come from several sources. Some are verified by the OpenVan.camp Editorial team against official sources and show a verification date. The rest are extracted from open sources, most often Wikipedia, and are shown with a source link and the date they were retrieved. Vehicle import rules are shown only once verified. The underlying visa requirement matrix is the passport-index-data dataset (MIT licence), updated 17 February 2026.
