Car rental orders in China, including sedans, SUVs, MPVs and motorhomes, rose nearly 60% year-on-year for the summer 2026 season, according to CCTV Finance. Beijing orders increased about 10%, with 80% of new vehicles added before the season being electric. Motorhome rentals in Xinjiang and Yunnan grew 50% since the start of the year, while the national average rental price fell 20–30%. One campsite operator purchased about 1,000 motorhomes for rental. The State Council included motorhome camping development in its 2026–2030 consumption expansion plan.
