Fiat launches Buenos Aires tour with new 600 Hybrid

Gustavo Scian and Johanna, creators of the Pericos Viajeros travel project, experienced a complete engine failure on their motorhome while traveling on Ruta 40 Sur near Lago Guillelmo. A mechanic confirmed the engine is beyond repair. The couple, who live in the vehicle with their pets, received temporary accommodation in Bariloche from a follower and are seeking work to fund a replacement engine.

Manu Pozzi, raised in Pergamino, bought back his former motorhome 'Apolo' after a divorce and creative block, converting it into a stage. Concerts are held inside the motorhome for 10–12 guests, featuring acoustic music, travel stories, and local snacks. Pozzi balances touring Argentina and Spain with raising his daughter.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a modular kit for the Sprinter that allows converting the van into a motorhome without permanent modifications. Installation takes less than an hour with two people and requires no cutting or changes to the original electrical system. The kit includes a water tank, stove, shower, and water heater, with optional washing machine. Modules are imported from China, with sales expected in August–September.

In Argentina, driving a motorhome requires a Class C driver's license if the vehicle's gross weight exceeds 3,500 kg. The category is divided into subclasses C1 (3,501–12,000 kg), C2 (12,001–40,000 kg), and C3 (over 40,000 kg). To obtain the license, applicants must hold a prior category, complete a theoretical course, pass a psychophysical exam, and take a practical test in a suitable vehicle. Motorhomes weighing up to 3,500 kg can be driven with a standard Class B license.

Stellantis has launched a promotional tour of the new Fiat 600 Hybrid across dealerships in Buenos Aires. From May 27 to June 4, a caravan of 8 vehicles will visit 20 dealerships in the AMBA metropolitan area. Participants can book a test drive via 600.fiat.com.ar and enter a contest to win dinner at Cucina Paradiso by posting a photo of the car on social media with the hashtag #Fiat600Hybrid.
