Aramon municipality blocks access to stadiums and natural areas to prevent caravan installations

The mayor of Chaponnay, France, announced plans to file a complaint over illegal caravan parking on municipal land. He stated that the caravans pose sanitation and safety issues. Local authorities aim to seek court-ordered removal of the vehicles.

Passion Automobile, led by Yannick Etter, has acquired Bader Loisirs, a distributor of motorhomes, campervans, and caravans in the Haut-Rhin region. The new division, named Passion Liberté, will represent seven brands: Pilote, Eriba, Hymer, LMC, Carado, Laika, and Stylevan. In 2025, the group reported revenue of €263 million, selling 3,147 new and 2,766 used vehicles.

The association Oxy’gène 42 plans to equip a motorhome for patients who cannot do without a medical environment. The project cost is estimated at €200,000. The association Bouge ta Flem handed over a first check for €1,500, raised during a charity marathon.

On the evening of February 2, on the A20 motorway in Laburgade, a motorhome driver lost control and the vehicle overturned onto its side. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM at kilometer 367. The motorhome fell onto the emergency lane, preventing more serious consequences. Two occupants were uninjured; ten firefighters from Cahors, along with gendarmes and patrol officers, responded. Traffic on the highway was not interrupted.

Approximately 120 caravans have illegally occupied a plot belonging to the Communauté de communes de la Vallée du Garon (CCVG) in Vourles since Sunday. Access was blocked by concrete blocks, but they were moved. The mayor of Vourles stated this is not the first occurrence and requested state support for dignified reception of the communities.

In Saint-Martin-de-Sanzay, France, a ban on overnight motorhome parking on Place Jean-Louis-Noël has been in effect since February 2026. The municipality spent around €300 on signage, but violations are still frequent.
