Saudi Arabia's Special Forces for Environmental Security detained several individuals for environmental violations. A citizen was fined up to 3,000 SAR for lighting a fire outside designated areas in the Tuwaik Nature Reserve. Another citizen was fined up to 3,000 SAR for camping without a permit in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve. Two Pakistani residents were arrested in the Eastern Province for illegally extracting sediments; equipment used for soil excavation and transport was seized.
