An oTENTik is the trademarked Parks Canada cross between a cabin and a tent: a permanent A-frame structure on a raised wooden platform with beds, a stove, and a heater. Designed as easy-entry glamping for families with no camping gear.
Sleeps 6 on three single beds and one double. Equipped with electricity (in most parks), a propane heater or wood stove, table, and chairs. Available at about 30 national parks and historic sites. Booking via parks.canada.ca/reservation; check current rates on site. Bring linens, food, and cookware. Pets allowed at most locations on a leash.
