Audi Motor Pacífico Alicante hosted a two-day Caravana RS event for customers, featuring seven S and RS models on a 105 km route through Alicante province. The centerpiece was the new Audi RS 5 Avant, a plug-in hybrid with 639 hp and up to 83 km of electric range (WLTP).

Residents of Liérganes (Cantabria) have accused local authorities of citing budget constraints for not repairing rural roads while funding a bypass and a new motorhome parking area. The motorhome area is budgeted at €700,000 from public and European funds, whereas roads linking Casa del Monte to Pámanes and Liérganes are in poor condition with large cracks. Residents note that a functional motorhome area has existed in the town center for over 20 years, questioning the new project's viability.

Blogger Miriam Talavera from Ibiza compared monthly expenses of living in a motorhome versus renting an apartment. According to her data, motorhome costs range from €350 to €850 per month, including loan, insurance, fuel, and gas. Renting an apartment costs between €700 and nearly €2,000, including utilities and other fees. However, on Ibiza, motorhome living is complicated by overnight parking bans and high fines, potentially raising costs to €1,800 per month.

Travel expert Marina clarified the difference between overnighting and camping for motorhome and campervan owners. According to DGT regulations, overnighting is allowed as long as you do not extend beyond the vehicle's perimeter. Setting up an awning, chairs, or tables is considered camping and incurs fines from 90 to 600 euros, and up to 5000 euros in protected areas.

The Atlantic Caravaning Show in Vigo, Spain, closes on May 31. The event saw high sales of motorhomes, caravans, and campervans, allowing daily rotation of displayed units. 50 companies from over 20 brands exhibit on 8,000 sq m. A free overnight area accommodates 200 caravanners.

The city council of Ferrol (Spain) has decided to draft a municipal ordinance regulating the parking of motorhomes and camper vans. The decision was approved unanimously at a plenary session, with the Socialist Party (PSOE) abstaining. The document will establish parking rules for these vehicles within the city.
