Küstendrive 2026

Küstendrive is a three-day VW festival held on the Elbinsel Krautsand, a river island in the Elbe near Drochtersen in the Stade district of Lower Saxony. The island setting on the lower Elbe, with views of passing cargo ships and the wide tidal marshes of the UNESCO Elbe Estuary Nature Park, gives this event one of the most extraordinary natural venues of any VW gathering in Germany.

Küstendrive ("coast drive") reflects the North German maritime spirit of the region, drawing VW Bus, Bulli, and air-cooled Volkswagen enthusiasts from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Lower Saxony for a summer weekend where the flat fenland landscape and the sound of the Elbe create a unique backdrop for the VW camping experience.
