An illegal caravan site in Weston, Nottinghamshire, must cease operating and the land restored to its original condition by 15 January 2027, following a final injunction at Nottingham County Court. Newark and Sherwood District Council brought the action after extensive works over the 2025 Easter bank holiday weekend created approximately 40 pitches, with roads, hedges removed, entrances, fencing, and utility supplies installed within 24 hours. The court awarded the council £30,000 in legal costs, with all defendants jointly and severally liable. Judge Owen described the operation as pre-planned and well-orchestrated, carried out with a degree of secrecy.

Swansea Council has secured planning permission for 10 motorhome bays at the Fabian Way park and ride. Stays will be limited to 96 hours, with water and drainage provided but no electric hook-ups. The motorhome area, fire buffer zones and service area will occupy 84 spaces, reducing total capacity from 497 to 413. The park and ride was 19% full on average during 2025-26. Tourism's economic impact in Swansea last year was £696m.

Lovat Parks Ltd is exploring a 3,965 sq m (0.98-acre) extension of Herdwick Croft Caravan Park at Ouse Bridge near Bassenthwaite onto land adjoining its north-eastern edge. The company has asked the Lake District National Park Authority to determine whether a full Environmental Impact Assessment is required; a full planning application has not yet been submitted. The existing 4.8-hectare park already has permission for 120 static caravans, tents, four glamping pods and five holiday cottages. Consultants refer to a 'modest number of additional plots' without specifying how many.

The dealership also provides an accessory shop, servicing facility, and secure storage. The offer targets families seeking an affordable alternative to rising flight and hotel costs.

Welsh Finance Minister Elin Jones confirmed that the visitor levy will apply to babies staying in caravans but not in tents. In a written answer, she stated that individuals under 18 are exempt only when staying overnight in tents at campsites, hostels, or other shared accommodation; all other accommodation types are chargeable. For a family of two adults, two babies, and an older child, a week's caravan holiday in Wales will cost an extra £54, including VAT; the levy is £1.56 per night per baby. Caravan park owners report difficulties in collecting the tax and have converted some sites to adult-only.

A new dwelling is proposed at Jedwater Caravan Park in Jedburgh, Scotland, to enable the phased succession of the family-run business from father to son. A planning application has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council; the proposed site is within a flood plain but a Flood Risk Assessment shows it lies outside the 1 in 200 plus climate change modelled flood area.
