Carnaby Caravans, an East Yorkshire manufacturer based near Bridlington, reported "satisfactory" results for the year ended 31 October 2025. Revenue rose to £24.2m (2024: £17.8m), operating profit to £1.5m (2024: £500,000), and pre-tax profit to £1.1m (2024: £100,000). The company, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, employed an average of 114 workers. It cited competitive trading, higher material costs, and economic uncertainty as challenges.
On 30 July, a campervan went into the water at Burntisland beach, Fife. Emergency services were called at 14:40, all occupants escaped before firefighters arrived, no injuries reported.

The application, submitted in 2025, was rejected by Gwynedd council planners, who said the evidence did not undisputedly prove continuous use of the entire site for the required period.
Southwest Motor Homes, based near Ilminster, ceased trading on July 24. The company, incorporated in 2011, specialized in motorhome rental, sales, and servicing. A spokesperson thanked customers and the community for their support.
