Bergen residents defend motorhomes

Three motorhome owners living near Klauvaneset in Bergen have criticized the municipality's parking restrictions, which they say stem from a single neighbor's complaint. They argue the area is used by many groups, including anglers and travelers in regular cars, and that motorhomes are not the main source of litter. Dag Bjørnar Mjelde, head of Tellevik coastal fort, also noted that vandalism has decreased since more motorhomes arrived. The residents suggest providing toilets and waste bins instead of restrictions, some of which have been eased, but the recommendation to impose restrictions on the area managed by the road authority remains.

Norwegian receives bill for mini-camper toll without warning

Nils Espen Lilleheim from Ålesund received a 109-krone bill for driving a mini-camper on a private toll road at Dovrefjell, despite no signage indicating an extra charge for caravans. He paid 50 kroner for the car, but later received a bill for 109 kroner, including 30 kroner for the trailer, 69 kroner for 'storage and lookup', and 10 kroner administrative fee. NAF criticizes the lack of information on signs, and Finter, the billing company, promises to review signage and website information. The case is also linked to a lawsuit against Riverty over the legality of such fees.
