Painting of St. Francis restored thanks to Camper Club Gubbio

A 1734 painting of St. Francis of Assisi by Gaetano Lapis, housed in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Gubbio, has undergone restoration. The Camper Club Gubbio funded the repair of the canvas tear and paint layer damage. Restorer Anna Morena carried out the work. The restored artwork will be returned to the community on September 5, 2026, during a Franciscan gathering marking the 800th anniversary of the saint's death.

Man threatens group of young people with gun in Pesaro camper van incident

A 65-year-old resident of Pesaro was detained by police after pointing a gun at a group of young people inside a camper van. The incident occurred on the night between Saturday and Sunday in the Borgo Santa Maria district. The conflict arose from the man's annoyance at noise from the group, while the young people claimed they felt they were being watched. The man, who holds a valid firearms license and has no prior criminal record, was released pending trial on charges of aggravated threats with a firearm. The gun has been seized, and confiscation is being considered.

Fossacesia announces tender for camper van parking on the southern promenade

The municipality of Fossacesia has published a tender for the concession of a camper van parking area on the southern promenade (Grotte district). The 1,800 sq m site can accommodate 20 campers, starting price €11,000 per year, concession term three years. Bids are accepted until 12:00 on June 13, 2026.
