At the Salone del Camper, scheduled for September 12-20, 2026 in Parma, Tuscany will have a significant exhibition space. The region is the heart of Italy's 'Camper Valley': between the provinces of Florence and Siena, about 80% of Italian motorhomes are produced, with an annual turnover exceeding 500 million euros, and including related industries, over one billion. Francesco Furlani has completed a journey of over 4,500 km from Italy to Nordkapp, Norway, in a three-wheeled Piaggio Ape TM 703 fitted with a camper body made entirely through large-format 3D printing. The shell weighs about 70 kg, compared with roughly 200 kg for a fiberglass equivalent, a 130 kg difference that was critical for the vehicle's payload. The CoreLight3D foam material, developed by Nugae, and engineering by DCab enabled a weatherproof and rigid structure despite reduced material volume.
