Man drives camper onto runway at Abbotsford International Airport

A man drove a camper through a fence and onto the runway of Abbotsford International Airport (AIA) in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Police responded at 4:36 p.m. on December 25. Airport staff and air traffic controllers rerouted aircraft, and airport operations were briefly halted. The man was arrested and faces charges of dangerous driving and mischief. No injuries were reported.

Motorhome crashes through fence onto airport runway in Abbotsford

A 53-year-old man from Abbotsford, British Columbia, drove a motorhome through a perimeter fence onto a runway at Abbotsford International Airport on July 25, as an aircraft was preparing to land. The control tower issued an emergency climb-and-turn command to the pilot. Police detained the driver within five minutes; no injuries were reported. Investigators have ruled out alcohol or drug impairment.

Canadian motorhome with revolutionary layout and panoramic window

Canadian manufacturer Leisure Travel Vans has introduced the Wonder model in the Murphy Bed Lounge configuration. Built on the latest Ford Transit chassis, the motorhome is 7.54 m long. Its key feature is the patented Leisure Lounge system: two power-reclining armchairs that transform at night into a 165×188 cm bed. A slide-out module increases interior space when parked. Canada’s First Sober Campground Opens in the Maritimes

A couple from Vancouver, after losing their son to a fentanyl overdose, opened an alcohol- and drug-free campground in Nova Scotia. The 8-acre site offers 10 RV hookups, tent sites, a playground, and walking trails. The campground opened last fall but was closed due to wildfires; this is its first full season.
