Three inspiring vanlife stories have captured attention in Scandinavia. Finnish couple Mari and Pete completed a motorhome journey from Finland to Japan. The route passed through several countries, including Russia, using ferry crossings. The trip took several months and required careful document and logistics preparation.

In Sweden, 9-year-old Nellie from Norrköping fulfilled a long-held dream: she saved pocket money for several years and bought her own caravan. The idea of owning a home on wheels came to her at age four. "I've always dreamed of camping life," she says.

Another couple from Norrköping made a radical change: they quit their jobs to head to southern Europe in a self-built motorhome. After a year of intensive preparation, they plan to volunteer helping stray dogs in Greece.

Drilled in the chassis plate

A caravan owner accidentally drilled a hole through the chassis number plate. According to an expert, caravans from 1969 onward have a stamped chassis number on the frame. If that is missing, a new number can be stamped and a registration inspection performed, while keeping the original plate.
