GAC unveils Hypervan concept motorhome with no steering wheel or pedals

A Romanian agricultural worker died in a caravan fire in the province of Foggia, Italy, on the morning of May 12, 2026. The fire is believed to have been accidental.

Dutch studio Square Glade Games and publisher Silver Lining Interactive have released Outbound, a cooperative camper van life simulator, on PC and Xbox Series X|S. Versions for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 arrive May 14. The game amassed over 1 million Steam wishlists before launch.

The Green Road dell'Acqua route in Trentino, winner of the 2021 Italian Green Road Award, is a 140 km cycling loop. It runs from the Adige River to Lake Garda, along the Sarca River and through the Valle dei Laghi, ending with a climb on Monte Bondone. The route is mostly flat and suitable for all levels, partially overlapping with the Valle dell'Adige cycle path. For motorhome travel, options involve returning to the parking area after each stage, as no direct train or bus connection is available.

The municipality of Torriglia (Italy) is building a 14-space motorhome area with smartphone-controlled access. The project won a GAL (Local Action Group) grant under the FEASR rural development program. Facilities include electric vehicle charging, water supply, waste disposal, a picnic area with barbecue, and a dog park. Construction is set to finish before the season starts.

Construction has started on a 50-space camper area in the Quattro Venti district. The project is supported by the Ministry of Tourism. Completion is expected in 2026.
