The Forest Conservation Directorate of Annaba Province, together with the National Gendarmerie, conducted a patrol in the Chetaibi forest to prevent wildfires. The measures include a ban on camping, entry, and movement within forest areas, especially during high-temperature periods. The operation is part of the 2026 wildfire prevention campaign.

The first edition of a tourism camping and caravanning festival took place in the Algerian province of Tissemsilt. Participants from 12 provinces attended. The program featured hiking, safe camping workshops, and cultural events. The initiative aims to boost domestic tourism and establish camping as a viable economic sector.

A specialized tour operator offers motorhome itineraries through Algeria. The route includes UNESCO World Heritage sites like Tipasa and Timgad, as well as travel through the Sahara Desert, home to rock art dating back up to 6000 years.
