PVOM — French mass in running order

Weight & Dimensions France

PVOM, Poids à Vide en Ordre de Marche, French wet weight, French dry weight, French in-service mass, MIRO France

PVOM (Poids à Vide en Ordre de Marche) is the French equivalent of the UK MIRO (Mass In Running Order): the in-service mass of a motorhome, stated in field G.1 of the Carte Grise. It includes a 75 kg driver, a full fuel tank, 90 % of fresh water, the gas bottles, and standard factory options.

The difference between PTAC and PVOM is the charge utile (payload) available for cargo and passengers. On a 3.5 t Ducato camper, PVOM is typically 3,100–3,300 kg, leaving 200–400 kg of payload. Factory options (solar, A/C, scooter rack) often add 100–200 kg to PVOM — keep this in mind when buying. Confirm actual PVOM on a certified weighbridge with full tanks.
