Anderson plug, Anderson SB50, Anderson connector, Anderson Powerpole, Anderson SB175, DC 50A connector, RV solar plug

The Anderson plug is a DC power connector (50 A, 175 A, or 350 A) widely used in motorhomes and trailers to connect solar panels, second batteries, winches, and portable power stations. The housings are symmetrical (no male/female) and self-align polarity.

Most popular sizes: SB50 (50 A, grey housing) for solar panels and compressors; SB175 (175 A, burgundy) for 30+ A DC-DC chargers and tow-vehicle charging. Gold-plated contacts withstand up to 10,000 mating cycles. Especially popular in Australia and New Zealand for caravan-mounted solar and dual-battery setups. They have no IP rating; outdoor installations need a protective flap.
