Casa autoportante, autoportante, integral motorhome LatAm, Class A motorhome Spanish, integral autocaravana
Casa autoportante is a Spanish-American technical synonym for a motorhome or integral autocaravana (US Class A or European integrated). It emphasises that the habitation structure is self-supporting and does not rely on the donor chassis the way a converted van does.
Distinguished from a furgo / van conversion (chassis still carries the insulation), a semi-integrated (cab kept from the donor), and a trailer. Listed as a separate category in Argentine and Chilean technical catalogues. Known brands: Hymer Group, Magni Autoportante, Iveco Frankia.
