Caixa d'água — motorhome fresh-water tank (Brazil)

Water System Brazil Latin America

Caixa d'água, motorhome water tank Brazil, Brazilian fresh-water tank, RV water reservoir Brazil

Caixa d'água is the Brazilian name for a motorhome or trailer fresh-water tank. Typical capacities on Brazilian models: 80–250 L. Food-grade polyethylene is standard.

Refill at filling stations with a potable-water tap, at camping de apoio, or from bottled-water vendors. Best practice: sanitise once a season with hypochlorite (1 mL per 10 L), drain before long storage, fit an in-line filter at the inlet. Level sensors on premium Brazilian models (Karman, Trinkle, Mantra) with a CBE/Nordelettronica panel.
