1982 Crown Supercoach school bus converted into RV with mid-engine diesel and manual transmission for sale

A 1982 Crown Supercoach school bus has been converted into a motorhome and is listed for sale. It features a 7.0-liter Detroit Diesel 6-71T two-stroke turbodiesel engine producing 270 hp and 762 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed Fuller manual transmission. The engine is mounted in the middle of the chassis. The current owner purchased the bus in 2003; odometer reads approximately 132,000 miles. RV strikes Willow Road Bridge in Dunkirk

Around noon Tuesday in Dunkirk, New York, an RV struck the Willow Road bridge, which has a clearance of just over 10 feet. The top of the vehicle became wedged about eight feet beyond the entrance. This is the latest in a series of incidents at the bridge, exacerbated by a detour from the Canadaway Creek Bridge replacement on Route 5, which began in May and is expected to last until Labor Day.

Truck driver who rear-ended pickup hauling camper was distracted by eating, North Dakota troopers say

The North Dakota Highway Patrol determined that a semi truck driver was distracted by eating when he rear-ended a pickup truck towing a travel trailer on I-94 on July 13, 2026. The pickup had activated hazard lights due to mechanical issues west of New Salem. No serious injuries were reported. The truck driver was cited for distracted driving.

Zion National Park restricts oversized RVs on scenic highway

Since June 2025, Zion National Park has enforced strict size and weight limits on the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway. Vehicles exceeding 35 feet 9 inches in length, 7 feet 10 inches in width, 11 feet 4 inches in height, or 50,000 pounds are banned from the route. Previously, oversized vehicles could pass through the tunnel with a paid permit, but that option has been eliminated. The detour adds 30 to 90 minutes for travel between Bryce Canyon and Zion.

Maxxair Launches RVTI Level 3 Training for Maxxfan and Maxxair Ventilation Systems

Maxxair, an Airxcel brand, has announced a new RVTI Level 3 accredited training program for professional RV technicians. The course, launching early Fall 2026, covers installation, diagnosis, and service of Maxxfan and Maxxair ventilation products, including PCB troubleshooting and motor diagnostics. It is approved for 1.5 RVTI credit hours.
