Two campgrounds on Lake Ontario in New York have been put up for sale. Niagara Shores Campground and Conference Center is listed at $3.5 million, while Olcott Harbor Resort is listed at $2.1 million. The properties, located two miles apart, remain operational during the sale process.

Colonial Mast Campground in Naples, Maine, owned by the same family for nearly 50 years, is listed for $9.8 million. The 117-acre property on Long Lake includes 110 RV campsites, 23 open year-round, plus a four-bedroom owner's house.

A Columbia County (Ga.) property owner is getting another chance to pitch his idea to county commissioners of establishing a comfort-packed campground off Washington Road. The Columbia County Board of Commissioners tabled action recently on the proposed Lost Horizon Glamping Retreat until landowner Frank Harris and civil engineer Robert Titus can provide more detailed answers about the site’s layout and its adherence to county code.

Hundreds of RV spots inside Isla Blanca Park (Cameron County, Texas) are still a work in progress, according to KRGV. In a few weeks, Cameron County parks will open reservations for a small number of spots for the winter season. Work is currently underway at the RV area inside Isla Blanca Park. While there are still RVs at the park, hundreds of spots have been out of the picture. That’s sent some longtime RVers elsewhere and some of their business along with them. Channel 5 News spoke with Cameron County Parks and Recreation about the upgrades that started last year. “We’re doing a major infrastructure improvement project to the RV sites that are located inside of the gate. There are about 577 RV sites that we’re upgrading the electrical, the water and sewer. So, those are temporarily closed until the project is completed,” Cameron County Parks and Recreation Director Joe Vega said. Officials said last year the spots should reopen for the summer 2027 season.

The RV Industry Association's Government Affairs team held an RV Caucus event on Capitol Hill on Aug. 19, attended by over 100 Hill staff. The event focused on legislative priorities including reauthorization of the Legacy Restoration Fund for campground modernization and the No Tax on RV Loans Act, which would allow a $10,000 interest deduction. Vice President of Government Affairs Jason Rano spoke on the industry's economic impact. A second event is scheduled for December.

Camp-let has introduced the Earth, a hybrid travel trailer that measures 10.6 feet in length, 5.3 feet in width, and weighs 595 pounds when towed, but expands to a living space up to 13 feet long, 18.8 feet wide, and 7.5 feet high. The base model, priced at about $14,593, accommodates four people; adding an annex and awning for additional capacity brings the total for a 10-person setup to roughly $21,981. With a minimum tow rating of 1,000 pounds, the trailer can be pulled by most pickups, SUVs, and even electric vehicles.
