The Escapees RV Club will host Escapade 2026 in Fryeburg, Maine, from June 14 to 19. The event is expected to attract over 500 RVs from the US and Canada, featuring camping, seminars, and entertainment. No club membership is required to attend.

Chris and Sara Aho sold their belongings, bought a van, and have been living and working in a motorhome for 7.5 years, traveling across the US, Canada, and Central America. They have no plans for traditional retirement, preferring to combine work and travel. According to them, many retirees advise them not to postpone life.
In Oregon, John and Trudy Benjamin have filed a lawsuit against a neighbor whose motorhome, parked near their property, emits a strong odor of sewage and chemicals. The couple wears gas masks outdoors and keeps windows closed. John injured his knee after fainting from the smell. They seek over $200,000 in damages; their lawyer suggests an overflowing toilet and bleach as possible causes.
A motorhome was destroyed by fire Sunday at Starved Rock Family Campground in rural La Salle County, Illinois. Fire crews arrived within 20 minutes but found the vehicle fully engulfed. The owner rescued one dog; a second perished. No injuries were reported, though three nearby campers sustained heat damage. The Red Cross is assisting the owner.
The second annual RV & Boat Show took place at Mylan Park from Thursday through Sunday. Visitors explored dozens of RVs, campers, and boats with discounted prices. Meyer's RV Sales Manager reported strong attendance and community engagement.
