All NewsA resident of Askersund has submitted a citizen proposal to split the parking area at Haga beach to limit parking for motorhomes and caravans. The issue arose after the original ramp in Askersund's harbour was closed for commercial camping, redirecting boat owners to Haga, but the area was occupied by heavy recreational vehicles.
In Uddevalla, a driver towing a caravan struck a cyclist on road 172. According to the report, the driver overtook a group of training cyclists despite the presence of a cycle path. The cyclist was knocked off the road.
A motorhome caught fire on Industrivägen in Jokkmokk at around 22:00 on Sunday. Two rescue units were dispatched, and the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported, and the operation was expected to be completed by 23:00.
On Saturday, someone broke into a motorhome in Trelleborg and stole cash and mobile phones. Police are investigating.
