Bus driver reported, foreign motorhome 500 kg overweight in Norway traffic check

On 7 July 2026, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration conducted a traffic control at Brimnes ferry quay. A tour bus driver tried to evade the check and was reported for multiple driving‑time violations; he received nine warnings, three fines of NOK 1,000 each, and the company was charged three fees of NOK 2,000 each. A foreign motorhome was 500 kg over the legal weight limit and had to unload before continuing. In total, 162 heavy vehicles, 27 vans and 35 light vehicles were checked, resulting in two reports, five driving bans, and 11 other fees.
