Polish border guards stopped a Fiat Ducato camper with Lithuanian plates in Suwałki, driven by a 42-year-old Latvian citizen. During inspection, a VIN plate overlay was found, and database checks revealed the 2019 motorhome had been stolen in Denmark. The driver also presented fake Latvian driving documents. The man and vehicle were detained, and an investigation has been launched.
A family from Vilnius complained that Palanga has installed signs banning camper traffic, preventing them from reaching a private plot in Monciškės. The resort's authorities say new signs were placed in Šventoji and near the forest, at the request of the forestry service, to protect nature and prevent illegal parking. Foresters note that campers damage the forest floor and call for the development of campsites.
On Wednesday, August 5, a fire broke out at a car dealership on Liepu Street in Klaipeda, destroying a Cantara caravan by Dutch company Chateau and damaging two cars. The fire was extinguished by 14:48, and a 10-liter gas cylinder was removed from the caravan. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Premium German brands such as Malibu Carthago, Hymer, and Adria are gaining popularity. Modern engineering allows fully integrated campers to stay under 3.5 tonnes, making them drivable with a standard B-category license. High-end campers depreciate by only about €4,000 per year.
