Indian man lived in a caravan for two years, traveling from Spiti to Kanyakumari

In 2016, Vimal Geethanandan left his home in Andhra Pradesh, planning a trip of one and a half years, but ended up traveling for six years. In 2019, he bought a second-hand van and converted it into a caravan with a bed, kitchen, shower, and a 350 W solar panel. Over two years of active caravanning, he traveled from Kanyakumari to Spiti, passing through several states. The story was republished as archival content.

Odisha to open caravan parks at seven eco-tourism sites

The Odisha Forest Department plans to develop caravan parks at seven eco-tourism destinations, including wildlife sanctuaries and national parks. Each site will accommodate a maximum of 4-5 caravans, with a parking fee of INR 1,000 per night. Strict rules apply: feeding animals, loud music, fireworks, and sewage disposal are prohibited.
