Pine tree falls on camper, trapping occupants

Firefighters on the island of Cres responded to two separate incidents overnight. Around midnight, a fire alarm activated in a building, but no fire hazard was found. Three firefighters used chainsaws to remove the tree and free the passage, allowing the occupants to safely exit and re-enter the vehicle.

On the night of July 2, a pine tree fell on a camper van in the Kovacine campsite on the island of Cres (Croatia) during a storm, blocking the exit. Three firefighters used chainsaws to clear the tree, no injuries were reported.
