BNG Monforte calls for expansion and improvement of motorhome area

A head-on collision between a car and a motorhome occurred on the N-340 highway in Roda de Berà (Tarragona). The car driver died at the scene; the motorhome driver was unharmed. Traffic was closed in both directions for nearly two hours.

Valcaravan, a company with 40 years in caravanning, has reopened a renovated store in Beniparrell (Valencia) after damage from the Dana flood. The facility covers 5,500 m² and offers motorhomes, campervans, and caravans (new and used), plus parts, accessories, and a service workshop. It is an official dealer of Rápido, Itineo, North Cape, Sterckeman, Ranger, and Rimor. A rental service under the Walabi brand will also operate on site.

Spanish National Police dismantled a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking on the island of Lanzarote. The operation began after a school in Costa Teguise reported a suspicious motorhome parked on its premises. Authorities seized over 21 kg of cocaine, valued at €750,000 on the illicit market, and €115,000 in cash. Five individuals aged 55 to 58 were arrested, with the main suspect remanded in custody.

The Iniciativa por La Gomera (IxLG) party stated that the opposition has been proposing the creation of camping zones for motorhomes for years, but the ruling Agrupación Socialista Gomera (ASG) did not support these initiatives. None of the island's six municipalities have suitable facilities for motorhome parking. According to IxLG representative Guzmán Correa Marichal, the lack of planning and infrastructure hinders orderly and sustainable tourism development despite growing demand.
