Yam Netz, facing high rental costs, built a fully equipped home in an 11-square-meter caravan and lived in it for four years while traveling across Israel. He bought a basic shell for 30,000 shekels and spent about 60,000 shekels more on materials and systems. He now rents it out for 2,500 shekels a month, without land.
An Israeli couple, facing post-Oct. 7 anxiety and burnout, sold their belongings and moved to Europe for a caravan life. They purchased a caravan in Germany in October, have traveled 10,000 km across several countries, and combine their journey with training their border collies for agility competitions.
