Grifo — Peruvian gas station

Sites & Services Latin America

Grifo, Peru gas station, Peru gasolinera, fuel station Peru, motorhome stop Peru, Peru RV refuel

In Peru, grifo is the colloquial word for a gas station. For rodanteros and overlanders crossing the Peruvian Andes, grifos are essential stops for fuel, drinking water, restrooms, security, and sometimes overnight parking.

Main chains: Primax, Petroperú, Repsol, Pecsa. Larger grifos on long routes (Panamericana Sur, Carretera Central, Cusco–Puno) often include a restaurant, showers, and 24-hour guarded yards. Overlanders commonly ask the manager for permission to spend the night and usually receive it after buying something. iOverlander tags grifos as friendly or unfriendly.
