Carro-casa is the Central American synonym for a motorhome or autocaravana (Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras). It can refer to either a self-propelled motorhome or a towed casa rodante.

Costa Rica and Panama host a growing community of overlanders and foreign retirees living in "carros-casa" at resorts and RV parks. Related terms: motorhome, autocaravana, casa rodante. Official documents tend to use those rather than carro-casa.
