Arrest made in caravan theft in Cyprus

On June 8, 2026, in the Kaplıca area of Northern Cyprus, unknown persons broke into three caravans parked by the sea, smashing windows and doors. Stolen items included 21 bottles of alcohol, 16 bottles of soft drinks, and various household and kitchen items. Police arrested a 51-year-old suspect, Y.Ö., in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Caravan fire in Yedikonuk spreads to adjacent building

A caravan fire in Yedikonuk's Yudi area on February 26 was caused by a short circuit in a solar power system. The blaze destroyed the caravan and damaged a neighboring modular structure.
