The Chevrolet 454 big-block V8, introduced in 1970 in the Chevelle SS LS6, continued production for heavy-duty trucks and motorhomes until 2000, when it was replaced by the Vortec 8100. Unlike other large V8s that ended after 1973, the 454 adapted to emissions regulations, gaining fuel injection and a hydraulic roller camshaft. It was used in models like the Safari Trek, Fleetwood Bounder, and Winnebago Chieftain.

Papago Vans, based in Mesa, Arizona, has unveiled a camper van built on a 2026 all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 170-inch wheelbase. The vehicle features a Van Compass Stage 4.3 suspension lift, CAtuned front bumper with bullbar, and all-terrain tires. Inside, it offers a kitchen with induction cooktop and oven, a bathroom with dry-flush toilet, a bedroom with a widthwise memory foam mattress, and a 32-inch smart TV. Power is provided by an 800 Ah battery bank and a 3,000 W inverter, with a 33-gallon fresh water tank.

A converted military truck has been listed on the US auction platform Cars & Bids. The vehicle, based on a Stewart & Stevenson M1078A1 chassis, was modified by Acela Truck Company. It features a double bed, a kitchen with induction hob, Miele oven, refrigerator and freezer, and a bathroom with separate shower and toilet.
