A fire at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds in Algona, Iowa, destroyed a 2005 Holiday Rambler motor home and killed a family cat on Thursday evening. The owners, Timothy and Kerissa Hall of Des Moines, escaped injury and saved their dog before the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire is believed to have started in the rear bedroom, possibly from a roof air conditioner. The interior was a total loss.

The Seattle City Council has proposed limiting street parking for motorhomes and travel trailers without a permit to two hours and banning overnight parking from midnight to 6 a.m. The rules would take effect in 2027, with enforcement starting by July 31 of that year; violators could be towed without prior notice. The Vehicle Resident Assistance Program (VRAP), introduced by Councilmember Dan Strauss, allocates $5 million for outreach, safe parking lots, and vehicle storage. One person died and eight others were injured after a motorhome crashed on Interstate 40 in Carroll County, Tennessee, on Thursday. The Henderson County Fire Department responded to the scene near mile marker 119 at about 11:15 a.m. The motorhome, carrying nine people, left the roadway and crashed. The deceased was identified as Andrienne Langley, 37, of Texas, who was found trapped beneath the vehicle. The driver, two adult passengers, and five juveniles were injured; one adult and one juvenile were flown to trauma centers. No charges are pending.
