BoatCamp: Tent turns your open boat into a floating camper

US company BoatCamp has introduced a tent that lets you sleep on an open motorboat without drilling holes or laminating. The aluminium frame with mattress and canopy installs in under 15 minutes and sleeps two to three people. Pre-orders are open, but no European distributor yet. New booking system turns Lynchburg’s honor-system RV campground into an overnight tourism play

The RV campground in Wiseman Park, Lynchburg, Tennessee, previously operating on an honor system, now has an online booking system and marketing support. The partnership between Moore County and the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association aims to increase overnight stays. Booking one of 18 sites costs up to $40 per night, with $30 going to the county and $10 to a marketing fund. Moore County ranks last in the region for lodging options, despite over 300,000 annual visitors to Lynchburg.
