Namibia's Ministry of Environment and Tourism announced that from May 1, self-driving to Deadvlei at Sossusvlei will be banned. Only shuttles by About Adelt Sossusvlei Management and tour guides transporting guests from lodges in Namib-Naukluft Park are allowed on the road between the 2×4 and 4×4 parking areas. All visitors must use the authorized shuttle service under the ministry's concession agreement.
