Yes — leaving and re-entering starts the clock again

Art. 8. — The visa shall bear the day, month and year of its issue as well as those of its expiry. Its duration, however, may not exceed 3 months. (Decree No. 87-076/PCMS/MI/MAE/C of 18 June 1987 regulating the conditions of entry and stay of foreigners in Niger). IMPORTANT: for most nationalities Niger is a visa country (Art. 2: a passport with a Nigerien visa is mandatory); visa-free entry applies only under bilateral agreements and for ECOWAS citizens (Art. 3). The limit is counted per entry/visa; the decree contains no rolling window.

Length-of-stay rules and temporary vehicle import rules are verified by the OpenVan.camp Editorial team against official sources — every rule carries a source link and a verification date. The underlying visa requirement matrix comes from the passport-index-data dataset (MIT licence), updated 17 February 2026.
