Bulgaria ranked top European destination for motorhome travel in study

A study by rental company Lotus Car Rental has ranked Bulgaria as the best European country for a motorhome road trip. The assessment was based on low fuel prices, tolerance for wild camping, low traffic density, and scenic variety. Georgia and Romania also made the top five, while France and Germany scored highly on infrastructure but poorly on cost and wild camping freedom.

Italian mini-caravan made from single-piece GFK is leak-proof

Italian manufacturer Wingamm has introduced new compact caravan models, the Rookie 3.5 and Rookie Cross. They are built using a seamless monocoque construction from fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP), which prevents water ingress. The trailer is 4.99 meters long and weighs between 750 and 1000 kg. The Cross version features increased ground clearance and all-terrain tires.

Bulgarian startup unveils motorhome with transforming beds

Bulgarian startup Hip Campers has introduced the Hip 4Family motorhome with an unconventional layout. The 7.2-meter model on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis features two lounge areas with double beds that descend from the ceiling. The base version starts at 149,999 euros, and driving it in the Netherlands requires a C1 license due to its 3,300 kg weight.

Mercedes Hymer Camper Linked to Kalushev Case

Tsarevo municipality designates over 40 sites for temporary camper and caravan placement

The municipal council of Tsarevo, Bulgaria, has designated over 40 properties for temporary placement of tents, motorhomes, and caravans from May to October. Bulgarian brand HIP unveils spacious family motorhome

The new Bulgarian manufacturer HIP Campers debuted its first model, the 4Family motorhome, at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon. The 7.2-meter-long motorhome offers four fixed sleeping berths without conversion and has a payload capacity of 900 kg. The base version, featuring a 150 hp Mercedes-Benz diesel engine, starts at 149,999 euros, with market launch scheduled after completion of technical tests and European type-approval.

Two serious traffic accidents involving campers occurred in the Haskovo region. On November 14, a 56-year-old Turkish driver lost control of his Opel camper van on the Maritsa highway, hitting a guardrail and overturning; he was hospitalized in critical condition. The following day, a 49-year-old driver crashed his Opel car into a sign and a wooden utility pole in Uzundzhovo village.
