Motorhome manufacturer to create 50 jobs in Nógrád

The German company Knaus Tabbert is investing 2.2 billion Hungarian forints to expand its motorhome production capacity in Nagyoroszi. The Hungarian government is providing a 216 million forint subsidy, facilitating the creation of 50 new jobs. Half of the production capacity of this European market leader will be linked to this location, with nearly all vehicles produced intended for export.

Mercedes-Benz takes over production of Marco Polo camper van in-house

Mercedes-Benz has moved the production of the Marco Polo camper van from Westfalia to its own plant in Ludwigsfelde. Hungarian tax authority auctions motorhome and other unusual items

The Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) is holding auctions of seized assets. Among the lots is a Bürstner Elegance motorhome based on a Fiat Ducato, valued at 40 million forints, as well as a mobile food truck container, a batch of new oil pipes, and treadmills. The auctions for these items are scheduled for March 2024.

From January 1, 2026, the toll payment system for motorhomes will change in Hungary. All motorhomes, regardless of weight, must purchase an electronic vignette (e-matrica) to use the toll road network. The toll category (D1 or D2) is determined by the maximum permissible mass and the number of passenger seats as stated in the vehicle's registration documents.

The starting price is 20 million forints, with an estimated value of nearly 40 million forints.
