Chinese motorhome manufacturer Skydream has raised 80 million yuan to develop smart electric camping vehicles. The company, founded in 2024, plans to begin mass production and expand internationally.

Chinese startup Skydream Caravans has unveiled a prototype of an electric travel trailer with self-driving features. The 26.5-foot model is built on a skateboard chassis with dual e-motors and a battery up to 85 kWh, claiming up to 14 days of off-grid power. Its North American debut is set for March 23 in San Jose, with deliveries targeted for December 2026.

The Chinese travel trailer manufacturer Compass RV raised approximately 1.8 billion yuan within a year through several funding rounds. Founder Wang Weiyuan signed agreements with investors committing to an IPO by the end of 2026, or he must buy back their shares. The company is considering both the Beijing and Hong Kong stock exchanges for the listing.
