Bridgestone Launches All-Season Tires for Motorhomes

The authorities in Mondovì have postponed the creation of a camper area due to the lack of a ready project. Two potential sites are under consideration, but one has cemetery-related restrictions and the other carries a flood risk from the Ellero River.

A new year-round camper area with 11 spaces has opened in Ortucchio. The daily fee is 10 euros, booking is done via WhatsApp, and payment is accepted by bank transfer or credit card.

Bridgestone has launched the Duravis Camper All Season, the first all-season tire in Europe specifically designed for motorhomes. The tire features CP (Camping Pneu) marking, a wet grip class A rating, rolling resistance class B, and 3PMSF snow certification. It will be available from June 2026 in four sizes for 15- and 16-inch rims.

Boho Camper Vans has introduced the Buttercup motorhome built on a Ram ProMaster chassis. Key features include a red cedar interior, a 500-watt solar panel, a Starlink system, a battery bank, a 3000-watt inverter, and a 125-liter water tank. The project highlights a growing trend of using self-sufficient vehicles as an alternative to conventional housing.

A motorhome caught fire at a toll booth on the A12 motorway in Rosignano Marittimo. The fire started in the engine, and the four people on board evacuated safely. Firefighters responded to the scene, and traffic was partially closed.

Motorhomes are seen as a tool to redistribute tourist flows in Italy, where 75% of travelers visit only 4% of the territory. According to the Assocamp association, campers facilitate access to less popular destinations and contribute to deseasonalization. In 2026, thematic routes will be developed, dedicated to the centenary of Dario Fo's birth and the bicentennial of Carlo Collodi, connecting small towns in Lombardy, Umbria, Piedmont, and Tuscany.
