The route is split by country, and the current per-litre price (petrol, diesel or LPG) is applied to each segment. You enter your vehicle's consumption — we multiply litres by the local price and sum across all countries on the route.

Are different fuel prices in different countries taken into account?

Yes — that's the main feature. Prices are taken per country along the route. If fuel is cheaper in one of the countries, we show how many litres to fill up there and how much you save by crossing the border with a full tank.

Which vehicles are supported?

How much do toll roads cost on my route?

Tolls are calculated segment by segment. We hold rates for 42 countries: 28 of them charge per kilometre, and 6 are marked as toll-free for cars — Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Germany and Poland take no per-kilometre toll from passenger cars. On top of that we track 26 individual motorways with their own tariff — Via Dutra, Ruta 68, M-11 Neva, M-4 Don, A2 Swiecko — Konin, Autopista del Sol — and 12 bridges, tunnels and toll booths with a fixed price: Mont Blanc, Frejus, the Bosphorus bridges, the Eurasia Tunnel, the A4 Katowice — Krakow gates and the Sozina tunnel. The calculation is cross-checked against 48 reference routes using the operators' published prices.

Do I need a vignette in Bulgaria, Austria or Switzerland?

Yes. A vignette is required in the 8 countries we cover: Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. The planner shows it before you cross the border — the price, every validity period on sale (from one day to a year) and a link to the official sales channel. The cost is added to the trip total as a separate line, next to fuel and per-kilometre tolls.

Can I plan a route that avoids toll roads?

Yes. Switch on "Avoid toll roads" and the route is recalculated around them: usually longer and slower, but with no road charges. The summary shows both sides of the trade-off — what you save on tolls and what you pay extra in fuel for the added kilometres. If there is no toll-free alternative at all — say the road runs over a tolled bridge or through a tunnel — we say so plainly.

Does the toll depend on the vehicle — car or camper?

Yes, and the gap is large. We calculate three classes: car, camper up to 3.5 t and vehicles over 3.5 t — the per-kilometre rate differs for each, and in France, Italy, Spain and Turkey a camper above 3.5 t pays substantially more than a car. Pick the class in the route panel and the whole calculation — per-kilometre tolls, motorways, bridges and vignettes — is recalculated for it.
